Nose Work: What’s the doggiest part of a dog? The nose! I teach a variety of sniffing based games and skills for dogs. Nose Work is great for all dogs. Many of my student teams are solely out for the fun and exercise, but I also have teams who compete in NACSW and AKC trials. I also teach Lost Item Recovery games and skills with most of my teams doing this for fun and use in daily life while some have trialed, too. Please contact me for details about the current class offerings.
Team Together: Whether your dog is over-excited, anxious, or fearful, needs a few manners, or you want a stronger bond with your dog, Team Together is for you. In this class you and your dog will learn skills that will give your team ways to move more comfortably through the world together: in the home, on neighborhood walks or trail hikes, going to sports classes and trials, and hanging out on a coffee shop patio. Please contact me for details about the current class offerings.
Cooperative Care: What is Cooperative Care? By allowing our animal companions some choice and using positive reinforcement for desensitization and counter conditioning, we can change our companions’ experiences of anything from basic husbandry like grooming and nail clipping/drilling to vet visits with blood draws and vaccine injections and beyond. My Cooperative Care classes give you the foundation to work on any specific care skills while making it fun for both you and your dog (or cat or other animal companion). Please contact me for details about the current class offerings.
Handler’s Choice: This class allows teams to get the practice, feedback, and coaching they want or need whether that’s for skills for life, specific sports, tricks, cooperative care, or something else. Sometimes you need different distractions to work through. Or you need specific help with one skill or behavior. It’s a supportive space for the learners where you’ll improve your own training skills and your team will have fun through it all. Please contact me for details about the current class offerings.
